Makeup Look

For this look I wanted to keep her look natural but flawless. She has beautiful skin and didn't need to do much correcting.  I wanted to give her a nice glow, to do so I used my Sacha cosmetics foundation and topped it very lightly with translucent powder. By doing this the powder didn't make her skin look completely matte but demi matte with a hint of a dewy look.  I also added my la femme cinnabar blush to add color with a touch of shimmer.

Interview with Harani

Deon: How did you get into modeling?

Herani: I've always wanted to model but never really found an outlet to start until recently! A friend of mine (Semi) told me about a Facebook group called DFW TFP and that really got me connected to different photographers and MUA's to collaborate with and start my pro folio!

Deon: What’s your favorite thing about modeling?

Herani: My favorite thing about modeling is being able to play different characters! Depending on the makeup and the look, I'm able to embody different characters! Getting my makeup done is also a plus, I mean what girl doesn't like getting dolled up!

Deon: Are you with an agency, which one? If not are you looking for representation?

Herani: I'm currently not with an agency but I'm open to representation.

Deon: What’s one thing you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

Herani: I would love to change the stereotyping. I believe any human of any size should be given the chance at modeling. When we look at magazines now a days, we mostly see people that aren't like us which is a bit discouraging but if everybody type was accepted into the industry then we will be teaching young girls that they don't need to be "skinny" to be beautiful!

Deon:  What’s something somebody might be surprised to learn about you?

Herani: Something that someone would be surprised to learn about me that I am Ethiopian! I was born there and came to the U.S in '04.

Deon:  What's the one accomplishment you're most proud of?

Herani: The one accomplishment that I'm most proud of is as a senior in High School I was a Captain in the MJROTC! (Marine Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps)

Deon:  What would your ideal day look like?

Herani: My ideal day would consist of recording music at a studio and collaborating with different artists and producers! (That would be a dream come true!)

Deon: How fun was it shooting with us?

Herani: Working with you guys was a blast! You guys from the get go made me feel super comfortable and were very welcoming! It's nice working with people that love what they do and have the passion for!

Deon: If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Herani: If I could have any super power it would be, to be able to read minds! I'm always really curious about people and wanting to know more so what better way that to be able to read their minds!
